a little heartbeat

oh what an amazing day.
we were able to see our baby's heartbeat at 7 weeks.

unfortunately, i got caught in a little situation with no monitoring after my pregnancy test. my local clinic who's done all of my outside monitoring wouldn't see me anymore once i received a positive beta. rude, huh? my ob/gyn typically doesn't see pregnant patients for their first prenatal visit until 9 or 10 weeks. luckily, my ob knew our history and saw me early. although i think we will have to pay out of pocket for the ultrasound he did in his office.

oh well. it was worth it. to see our baby sunshine and know that he is doing well in there. i think seeing the baby snuggled in my lining and seeing his little heart beating in the ultrasound finally made it real for A. he's been talking more about the baby, making plans and it's been so nice.

i'm on cloud 9.
but i still can't believe i am writing this post.
me?!? i am pregnant with a real baby with a beating heart.
i never thought i'd see that day.

for those of you who still feel like you'll never see the day,
don't give up hope. dreams really do come true when you keep fighting.

Oh! I am so happy for you! I have been behind on my blog reading and when I saw this post I literally had tears in my eyes! This post has also given me hope, as I've known for years I cannot convieve a cild naturally. My fiance and I are about to begin truly looking into our fertility options, we have an appointment with a clinic next week. Thank you for sharing your story! xoxo

I remember that window of time. We are the find out we are pregnant very early group, so the "first" OB visit is a million years away. Luckily for me (like you) our doctor saw us too. I didn't have to pay for my early ultrasound...hoping you don't have to as well!!!

So amazing, isn't it? M hasn't been able to be there for my ultrasounds yet (I was still with my RE and they didn't allow it) so I can't wait until he can actually see it for himself!

Love this! So happy for you both, I cannot imagine how that feels!! So crazy that your clinic won't see you after the positive!! Ours sees us once a week for the first trimester then were released back to our regular ob/gyn.

I came across your blog a couple of years ago when I was searching for ideas for a sip and see that I was planning. I was touched by what I read and have thought of you and your journey from time to time. I came back tonight and am so happy to read your news. I wish you all the best for a healthy and uneventful pregnancy and for this new chapter in your life to be blissful.
