grow follies grow

A quick update. Things are moving along. Slowly. I had to order more follistim and my retrieval will likely be pushed out a few days. But my little follies are growing. I'm just happy that we're seeing daily progress.

Day 6 stim check
left: 6mm, 4mm, 3.2mm
right: 11mm, 9mm, 8mm, 7mm, 6mm

Day 8 stim check
left: 7.5mm, 4mm
right: 15mm, 11mm, 11mm, 10mm, 8.5mm, 7mm

Just to give you context, CCRM wants to see my follicles measuring between 18-24mm at the time of egg retrieval. The goal is to get as many eggs as possible at the same maturity. So we want these follies to grow at essentially the same rate.

That 15mm may be growing too fast and the 4mm on the left is growing way too slow. So we probably won't be able to get those. But there are about 5 that are within the right range.

In the meantime, I've just been enjoying disconnecting from the world and focusing on my body. Yesterday, I took an hour long walk in Breckenridge. It was beautiful. I focused on talking to my follicles, breathing in the fresh mountain air, feeling the breeze and listening to the sound of the running water. It was so peaceful.

I'm right where I am supposed to be.

Grow little follies, grow! Nice and steady though!

Love that you are talking to your body and treating yourself to some nature. You ARE exactly where you are supposed to be. :)

With my second IVF there was a big follie that looked like it was growing too fast, but right towards the end it slowed down and a bunch of others caught up to it. But either way, they'll wait and get the best crop they can. Glad that things are still moving forward!

I'm loving your attitude! :) Yes, you are right where you are supposed to be. I was a "slow cooker" too and would sometimes feel impatient and the nurses would remind me that it's better to go slow and safe instead of fast and end up with OHSS. Ahhh! I need an hour long walk just like that! Looks so beautiful! ps-I love how pretty you make all your "update pics." :)

Yes, grow follies grow! I'm glad you got to take in some fresh air and relax. I wanted to tell you that before I got pregnant, I went and got a prenatal massage to stimulate my nerves, etc. Now I have no idea if the massage worked or not, but I did end up getting pregnant, so I guess it doesn't hurt. My masseuse told me to visualize my pregnancy every night before bed... and that your body will want to catch up with your mind. I think it's the same concept as talking to your follies, but worth a shot right?!

Good luck lady. I'm thinking about you! :)

That photo is priceless. I know you follicles will group. I love that you are talking to them speak the word of God over them so they will align with what he created them to do. Enjoying nature is a good way to relax so your body can use the energy to do what really needs to be done. Praying for you friend.

I'm so behind lately. I'm sorry. But I've been thinking of you lately, wondering how your follies are doing. I'm thrilled to hear that you are responding so well with CCRM. It certainly makes me wonder what they would have done for me had I done one cycle there. I'm hoping those follies are doing their thing and look forward to more updates!!

I LOVE Breckenridge, but have only been in the winter, It looks absolutely beautiful this time of year! So glad you're enjoying the scenery while you're there! xo

The last line made me cry. You are so right - literally and figuratively. It's hard to recognize that you're right where you're supposed to be when it's not where you necessarily want to be.

Also, you look extremely cute. When I was stimming, I looked like a hippo.

GROW, FOLLIES, GROW!!!!!! Thanks for the positive update. So happy to see that you're making progress and that your dr is pleased and content with your progress. Good things are happening. Stay strong, Jessah. You're doing an amazing job :)

5 is a pretty decent number, but I'm still hoping you are able to get 6 or 7. Your pictures are gorgeous and I'm sure they probably don't come anywhere near how beautiful that place is in person. Hang in there Jessah!
