a difficult practice.

Our appointment with Dr. M went well.
Have I mentioned that I love him?
He is fantastic. Really. He is.

No endometrial cysts on my ovaries.
We are clear to move forward with IVF.
Later this week, we meet with our IVF coordinator.

A wants to do PGD (or PGS whichever you prefer).
He has gone along with whatever I want in this process.
So although I'm not sure doing this screening is my first choice,
I will let him make this decision because it is what he needs to feel comfortable.

We're scared.
But need to trust that what will be, will be.
That is really hard for me.

I'm a type-A personality.
I'm a planner. Strategizer. An action girl.
But this is something I cannot control.
I must let go.

I will do the things in my power to ensure the best possible outcome.
Try to reduce my stress level and activities.
Start acupuncture. Pray more. Eat healthy.
No alcohol, caffeine or running (once I start my drugs).

But that is it.
As our IVF journey unfolds, I have challenged myself,
to let go.

That was the hardest thing for me to do, let go. Why can't we be able to control things? Lol. Glad your appointment went well and yay to moving forward!

Good luck on your journey my friend. I'm a bit of an organizer and planner as well so I know how you feel. I managed everything by researching as much as I could and staying informed so that I was making the right decisions and not relying solely on the doctor. I'll be following and supporting you on your journey. {{Hugs}}

I am VERY Type-A. I am organized and like to totally be in control. IVF was the hardest ordeal for me as a person because I had to accept the fact that I was not in control. Some higher being was. Keep the faith though. I look forward to hearing the rest of your journey!

Hey friend... good luck through all of this. My thoughts and prayers are with you. My sister went through several rounds of IVF, finally had a baby a year ago, and will be doing IVF again early next year (I think). She has a blog if you want to talk to her about it. Also, I myself have intimate experience with the IVF process because of my sister. Let me know if you need support!!

it was a long, hard, strange road for me too, my friend....a completely different path, but heartbreaking nonetheless. after 6 miscarraiges, we finally have our perfect angel boy but man was it ever an uphill, emotional battle every step of the way. nobody said it would be easy, but it is so worth it and it is going to be for you guys too...i know you already know that. i have all the faith in the world that you're facing the right direction. it's going to happen and it's going to be awesome!
