life from my perspective

Am I a lifestyle blogger or infertility blogger?
Answer: both (or neither)

This is my small, little corner in the blogesphere that I can express my thoughts, feelings, experiences. My view of the world is influenced by my history and experiences. Infertility is a big part of my life that definitely impacts my perspective and the way I feel about things.

A lot of blogs are compartmentalized. Mommy blogs. Fitness blogs. Anonymous infertility blogs. Fashion blogs. Marketing blogs. Healthy eating blogs. Photography blogs. I'm not really wired that way. I'm a "put everything out there" kinda girl. So this is a "me connecting with you" blog . I'll be writing about life and all that it entails. The good, the bad and the ugly (as they say). Take it or leave it.

All I can do is tell my story through the lenses that I've been given. Most of the time the view is clear, sharp and full of joy. Other times it's fuzzy, blurry and dark.

But this blog will always be real. I can promise you that.

This is how I view my blog. Altough most of what I write revolves around TTC and loss, I think that showing all sides of yourself is important. If I am lucky enough to become a parent, I will write about my child. If I go on vacation, I will probably post on that.
I'm glad that you blog what is in your heart.

I am hoping my blog will grow with me. It was why I very concisely didn't choose a IF/TCC specific blog title.

I don't personally feel like my blog is compartmentalized either. It's really just about my life. So it used to be an infertility blog (because that was the only thing I could think about). Then it was a pregnancy blog (again, first pregnancy, it's all I really cared to blog about). Then it was more of a Mommy blog. Sometimes I write about my life in general, but more often it's related to my kid(s) because I'm a stay at home mom, so that's what my days are wrapped around now.

I do find that even though I don't consider myself to be one type of blogger, sometimes I have a hard time switching gears. Like, if I'm posting a lot about Noah, I feel weird switching gears and posting about pregnancy. And vice versa. That's my life, though, so I should get used to it!

I'm the same way... my blog is like a public journal... obviously the REALLY personal posts are kept private, but everything else is no holds barred. I post whatever is going on in my life at the time. I like blogs like yours because it makes you more relatable and more "real".

i'm with you on this. i can't seem to streamline my thoughts the way others can. my blog, which started out as an infertility blog, has become a forum of word vomit! ha ha! it's pretty much a tangled mess of life, parenting, infertility, how-to's, and craft posts and that's the way i like it. i think it's great that you blog from your heart and not according to category!

by the way, thanks for your sweet comment on my blog! i look forward to following you here. :)

I can totally relate to not wanting to label your blog. Because it's so much more!
I usually tell people that my blog is my online scrapbook. That usually helps them to understand. :)
