I'm contracting with an new agency that introduced its revamped brand, Misfit, at the ADDY Awards Show. It was fun being a part of the brand development and helping get everything ready for Thursday night. My major role was getting the social media platforms ready to go before the show. Once all of the work was done and I arrived at the show, it hit me how much I missed attending these industry functions. For several years, I was on the board of directors for AAF Sacramento Ad Club (the trade association that puts on the show) even rising up the ranks to President. But the last few years, I haven't even attended events. It was so fun seeing all of the work coming out of our region and connecting with former employers, colleagues, and industry friends. What a great night!
